Return Home or Trip Extension

Check out is by 10:00 AM. If returning home directly, international flights depart from Cape Town International Airport, with most long-haul departures scheduled in the early evening. Transfers can be arranged.

For those wishing to extend their stay, South Africa and the surrounding region offer extraordinary additional experiences which I am happy to help you plan:

Winelands

Continue exploring the Cape Winelands at a relaxed pace. Consider basing yourself in Franschhoek or Stellenbosch for wine estate visits, culinary experiences, and scenic countryside drives.

The West Coast

After the birthday festivities, I’d love for anyone who feels like continuing the adventure to join me for a relaxed two-night escape to the fisherman’s village of Paternoster, about a 2.5-hour drive from Worcester. This peaceful little seaside town on the West Coast is known for its whitewashed cottages, wild ocean views, laid-back pace, and wonderful seafood spots serving the freshest seasonal catch. It feels simple, soulful, and quietly beautiful. I’ll rent a vehicle and a lovely home for us based on how many want to come, so it will be an easy, cozy continuation of our time together. Let me know.

Whale Watching — Overberg Coast

Seasonal whale watching can be arranged via self-drive or private transfer to the Overberg region, one of the world’s best land-based whale viewing areas.

Safari — South Africa

Experience a safari in a private game reserve near Cape Town, in the Eastern Cape, or in the Greater Kruger region in the north. Transfers can be arranged to Cape Town Airport for flights to northern safari destinations, or self-driving is possible for nearby reserves. See safari accommodations here.

Safari — Neighboring Countries

Extend your journey into Botswana, Zimbabwe, or Zambia for iconic wildlife experiences such as the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park, or Victoria Falls. Early morning transfers can be arranged to Cape Town Airport for flights to these areas.

Johannesburg

Explore South Africa’s more recent history through museums and heritage sites reflecting the country’s journey through apartheid and social transformation, while experiencing the vibrant energy of its largest city. Transfers can be arranged to Cape Town Airport for flights to Joburg.

Victoria Falls

A short flight from Cape Town or Johannesburg brings you to one of the world’s great natural wonders. Transfers can be arranged to Cape Town Airport for flights to Victoria Falls.
